"Circle drawings reflect a person's inner state of being at the moment, which if all goes well, will be harmonious.", wrote Carl Jung. Mandalas, the sanskrit word for "circle", have been used to enhance mediation for centuries. Designing one teaches us how we relate to an infinite world, often used to encourage personal growth, and as a spiritual guidance tool. Creating the symbols and concentrating on the images help with mental focus, organizing, and rebalancing our inner universe.
In this workshop, the participants will search for symbols to represent aspects of the "self" on which to build their Mandala. We will be exploring several medias to produce a finished product.
