After completing the watercolor wash, filling in the large areas
with a base color, let the paper dry completely. Now you’re ready for more details. Layers of color can be built up
since watercolor is a transparent medium, enhancing the sense of depth by being able
to see the layers underneath. Details use the techniques discussed in an earlier post;
wet on dry, and dry on dry. In my painting , the finer work was added with a smaller brush
and wet paint on dry paper. The grasses were applied with a fan brush and a
dry on dry technique.
