I just LOVE printmaking!!
All the different methods and techniques leave endless possibilities. To do any kind of printing you first need 3 things…
1. a printing plate, which has the original art design on it, but this is the tool, not the art work.
2. Ink
3. and something to print on, like paper or a t-shirt
One of the easiest and most familiar method is Relief printing. Almost everyone has used stamps before. The stamp is the printing plate. It has the image “carved” into the surface, and you can use it over and over to get exactly the same picture. In my Mandala Mystique class on Febuary 9th, the participants will be learning and exploring relief printing.
