Our focus in this upcoming class will be a Mandala design, a circular radial pattern. However there are so many possibilities with pierced and 3D cut paper. The artist can cut the paper and layer several together in a “recessed” design where the image is indented or recedes from the surface level. Or the artist can cut and fold the shapes so they are in “relief”,and protrude from the first layer. One is only limited by their imagination and what speaks to their artistic soul.
