Book Illustration project continued:
I am still “applying” for the illustrator job by creating and submitting a sample of my work. After coming up with an idea for one page of text and drawing it in pencil, I needed to decide on a medium to execute the idea. Based on the authors only preferences, bold colors and semi-realistic, I chose Primsacolor colored pencil. Prismacolor pencils have a higher quality of pigment and a softer core than normal colored pencils.
Step 2: to create a “color chart” of my chosen colors. With this tool I can see the base color, the color blended with white, and the color layered. This way the colors in all the images will be coordinated.
