Watercolor landscape part2

After completing the watercolor wash, filling in the large areas

with a base color, let the paper dry completely.  Now you’re ready for more details. Layers  of color can be built up

since watercolor is a transparent medium, enhancing the sense of depth by being able

to see the layers underneath.  Details use the techniques discussed in an earlier post;

wet on dry, and dry on dry.  In my painting , the finer work was added with a smaller brush

and wet paint on dry paper.  The grasses were applied with a fan brush and a

dry on dry technique.
