Today the 6th grade students at Gilbert Elem. started work on their
self portrait ceramic tiles. First step is to design their portrait in cartoon style.
Then the drawing is transferred to the bisque tiles.
When finished, these tiles will join the permanent
installation on the exterior walls of the school. This is a legacy project that has been going on since 2009.
